Anemometer is the general term for devices that measure air flow velocity. Anemometers are commonly used in meteorological stations, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), factories, environmental monitoring, air transportation, and the automotive industry. Types of anemometers include hotwire (thermal), vane, pitot tube, cup (bucket type), and ultrasonic, varying based on their applications.
Anemometer calibration is performed using a comparison method in an environment that generates variable air speeds with a reference anemometer of known accuracy.
Our laboratory has the widest calibration range in the country, with the capability to measure from 0.1 m/s to 50 m/s.
